*Job Overview:*
As a K-3 Teacher, you will play a fundamental role in shaping the educational experiences and fostering the growth and development of young learners in kindergarten through third grade.
Your primary responsibility will be to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment where children can develop essential academic, social, and emotional skills.
You will design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, assess student progress, collaborate with colleagues and parents, and cultivate a positive classroom culture conducive to learning and growth.
*Responsibilities:*
* Curriculum Development: Develop and implement comprehensive, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and educational objectives.
* Instructional Delivery: Employ effective teaching strategies and techniques to engage students in active learning experiences, including differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
* Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student learning through a variety of assessment methods, track progress, and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
* Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, emphasizing respect, cooperation, and mutual understanding.
* Individualized Support: Provide individualized support and interventions to students who require additional assistance, including those with learning disabilities or special needs.
* Parent and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships and open communication with parents/guardians, involving them in their child's education and keeping them informed of progress, challenges, and achievements.
* Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of best practices, educational trends, and research.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, including other teachers, administrators, and support staff, to share resources, ideas, and best practices and contribute to a cohesive and supportive educational community.
* School and District Initiatives: Participate in school and district-wide initiatives, committees, and professional learning communities to support school improvement efforts and student success
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
* Valid teaching certification/license for K-3 education
* Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning needs
* Classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment
* Patience, empathy, and dedication to the well-being and success of students
* Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to collaborate with others
