Position Information
Full-time Faculty: Clinical Instructor
Job Summary:
The clinical instructor will play a vital role in educating and training future nurses by providing practical and clinical instruction to MSU BSN students.
We are looking for a candidate with a Registered Nurse license/eligible in North Dakota, and a Master of Science in Nursing who is passionate about nursing education and who possesses the expertise to guide and mentor students in clinical settings.
ICU and OB experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Instruction: provide hands-on clinical instruction to nursing students, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge required based on course objectives.
Supervision: oversee and supervise students during clinical placements, ensuring their safety and adherence to best nursing practices.
Mentorship: provide guidance and mentorship to nursing students, helping them develop critical thinking skills, clinical judgment, and professionalism.
Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in the assessment and evaluation of student performance in clinical settings, including providing constructive feedback and evaluating their progress.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the nursing program’s faculty and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience for students.
Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in nursing education and healthcare, and incorporate this knowledge into teaching practices.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted nursing license in North Dakota.
Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution (or be enrolled in a program)
Previous clinical teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for nursing education and the development of future nurses.
