Position Information Under the direct supervision of the Head Women’s Softball Coach, the Assistant Coach has the responsibility of carrying out all duties assigned by the Head Women’s Softball Coach as they relate to the administration of the sport and to always work in the best interest of the program, the Athletic Department, and the University.
As a member of the Athletic Department’s Facilities Team, the Team Member is responsible primarily for event preparation (set-ups & tear downs) as well as any other assistance that is needed to promote effective and efficient function of our Athletic Facilities Team.
Minimum Requirements Qualifications: Knowledge, skills and abilities preferred to perform duties and responsibilities described above: Softball coaching experience.
Possess general computer skills required, database management software experience preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
and be on your feet for much of the day.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Requisite Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor’s Degree, required.
Master’s Degree, preferred.
Professional Licensure/Certification: None Experience: Coaching, recruiting Which types of experience might be substituted for the education requirements? 3-5 years’ experience in coaching or playing.
Position Description & Details Serves as a member of the Women’s Softball staff.

Time Allocation: 50% Coaching Required to annually pass the NCAA module before recruiting off campus.
Aid Head Coach in organizing and conducting practice sessions, scouting, and game preparation.
Assist the Head Coach in recruiting qualified student-athletes.
Annually declare and receive approval from the Director of Athletics and President for all outside income.
Aid in supervising conduct of athletes on trips and at games.
Responsible for other work-related duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Softball Coach or the Director of Athletics.
Athletic Facilities Team Member Est.
Time Allocation: 50% Responsible to aid in event preparation (set-ups & tear downs) under the supervision of the Director of Athletics, or his/her designee.
Responsible for minimal event/facility supervision as assigned by the Director of Athletics, or his/her designee.
Responsible to aid in snow removal as it pertains to athletic facilities.
Responsible for other work-related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, or his/her designee.
