*Responsibilities:*
_Individual and Group Counseling:_
* Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students to address personal, social, and academic concerns.
* Develop and implement effective counseling strategies to support students' emotional well-being and enhance their interpersonal skills.
_Student Assessment:_
* Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and developmental needs.
* Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to gather relevant information for comprehensive student evaluations.
_Crisis Intervention:_
* Respond promptly and effectively to crises, providing emotional support and crisis intervention when necessary.
* Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement crisis response plans.
_Academic and Career Guidance:_
* Assist students in setting academic and career goals.
* Provide guidance on course selection, college and career exploration, and post-graduation planning.
_Parent and Teacher Collaboration:_
* Work closely with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to support students' academic and personal development.
* Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss students' progress and address concerns.
_Advocacy and Outreach:_
* Advocate for students' needs within the school and community.
* Collaborate with community resources and organizations to enhance support services for students.
_Educational Programming:_
* Develop and implement programs and workshops that address relevant issues such as bullying, substance abuse, and mental health.
* Conduct classroom presentations on topics related to social and emotional development.
_Documentation and Reporting:_
* Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and assessments.
* Prepare reports on students' progress and participate in case conferences as needed.
*Qualifications:*
* Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
* State certification as a School Counselor.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and best practices.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
* Experience working with diverse student populations.
