The Bakken Airport Hotel is looking for a talented and reliable front desk agent *NIGHT AUDITOR *that is immediately available to work *FRIDAY & SATURDAY* from *5:00pm-5:00am.
*Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Other part time hours may be available from time to time.
Training for this position would occur during the week.
Previous hotel experience and ability to pick up shifts as needed is required.
Immediate start available.
*EXPECTATIONS:*
You will be responsible for providing quality guest service in a welcoming, friendly, gracious and customer service driven manner.
Accommodate hotel guests by registering and assigning rooms, issuing room keys, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making and confirming reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from arriving guests.
Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office - Excel and Word; and, perform other administrative functions as requested by Management.
*WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:*
* Check-in and check-out hotel guests in a confident, professional, and friendly manner.
* Enter guest reservations to ensure guest satisfaction, accuracy, and maximize revenues.
* Initiate courtesy call after check-in to ensure guest is satisfied with accommodations as well as offer any assistance.
* Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy you may be.
* Provide gracious and efficient telephone service.
Calls should be answered promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information.
* Review arrivals, noting special requests, and blocking rooms as necessary for group arrivals.
* Complete all items as listed on shift checklists.
* Ensure proper credit card and cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
* Advise guest of any messages, mail, faxes, etc.
received for them.
* Communicate service and amenities of the hotel to guests.
* Take, record, and relay messages accurately.
* Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel,
* Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary.
* Accurate handover of notes between arriving and departing shifts.
* Enter food orders into point of sale system
* Knowledgeable of hotel fire and emergency procedures.
* Keep the front desk clean and well organized.
* Assist with reservations calls in a professional manner.
* Legibly document maintenance needs in front desk log.
* Maintain complete knowledge of:
* All hotel features/services.
* All room types, numbers, layout, and location.
* All room rates, rate codes, promotions, frequent guest membership programs
* Guest count and expected arrivals/departures.
* Communicate guest food orders with F&B department.
* Room availability status for any given day.
* Initiate night audit process in the property management system.
