Magic City Day Care Center is looking for a Childcare Cook to join our team! What does the kitchen staff do? They are the glue that holds our days at the day care together! You would be responsible for making and preparing meals and snacks, help with the up keep of the day, and helping put smiles on the faces of all our kiddos.

This is a set shift of our Childcare Cook Monday - Friday 6:30am - 1:00/1:30pm (additional hours available if desired) some days might run later or early depending on work load.
Previous food employment/knowledge experience (or similar) is preferred.
Childcare Cook Must have or obtain/pass food handlers certification through FDHU within a week of employment (we will guide you through this process, provide all training, it is very simple/no sweat).
Food Handlers Card NOT REQUIRED BEFORE EMPLOYED.
CHILDCARE COOK REQUIRMENTS
Do you like to cook and clean? Can you make grilled cheese and tomato soup? Spaghettis? Can you follow simple/basic cooking/baking instructions? Are you a morning person? Do you love to be around children? Always have a smile? Can you work fast paced and follow a schedule? Then you would be a great candidate for the Childcare Cook at Magic City Day Care Center! You can have the opportunity to work in a fun environment with children and never work Evenings, Nights, or Weekends.
You will be responsible for following special diet restrictions when needed.
Starting date is flexible .
However we will conduct interview/working interviews for this position as applicants apply.
In additional to cooking meals the Childcare Cook would also be responsible for general cleaning tasks of the center.
These tasks are include (but not limited to).
Snack/meal clean up, sweeping, moping, windows, vacuuming, bathrooms, mirrors, taking out trash.
CHILDCARE COOK RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to work independently
Follow a tight/strict schedule and be able to stay on task
Lift at least 50lbs
Be able to stay on your feet for long periods of time
Walk up/down Steps
Excellent person hygiene and hand washing habits
SUBERB punctuality
Work great with children

Follows directions well
