Position Description: Reporting to the Controller, this position provides benefits enrollment services, maintenance of the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) database (PeopleSoft), and other related duties in support of the payroll function.
Some of the major responsibilities include:
· Provide in-processing services for new employees (I-9, benefit/payroll forms, data entry into PeopleSoft)
· Maintain the job data and benefits data within the HRMS
· Process Additional Pay forms, verification of funding source.
· Provide out-processing services for terminating employees (forms and data entry into PeopleSoft)
· Perform routine office functions (filing, distribution/mail, employment verifications)
· Monitor personnel changes
· Setup and maintain employee data in the Kronos timekeeping system
· Prepare year-end tax forms (i.
e.
W-2’s, 1095-c’s etc.
)
Requires an associate’s degree related to business, accounting, or office administration.
(Experience directly related to the position may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
) Requires a minimum of two year’s experience related to payroll, benefits administration, or human resource management.
Knowledge of human resource management, payroll, and benefits administration preferred.
Must be a competent user of computers and application software including word processing and spreadsheets.
Prefer experience with MS-Word and MS-Excel.
Prefer experience with PeopleSoft software.
Requires competent abilities in math and attention to detail in routine activities.
Requires excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and interact positively with various types of people.
Must be able to operate standard office equipment (copier, telephone, fax, etc.
)
