The duration of the position is June to October 2024.
Monday- Friday 40 hours per week
Provide primary health care and perform medical services under the direction of clinic physicians and following established standards of practice.
Requires graduation from an accredited NP/PA program.
Requires a valid North Dakota driver’s license and must maintain insurability with the facility insurance carrier.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Obtain complete medical history and physical data regarding patients.
Review patient records, interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic care.
Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
Synthesize data to determine preliminary diagnosis and a therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
Administer injections, immunizations and oral medications, suture wounds, and prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances.
Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
Instruct patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
Provide patient education as appropriate.
Triage patient calls and provide consultation.
Perform independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
Provide monitoring and continuity of care between patient visits.
Attend required meetings and participate in committee as requested.
Perform medical procedures as agreed to with HAMC policy and protocol.
All other duties as assigned.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a Clinic environment.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
Occasionally lifts objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
Requires exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
Requires working under stress in emergency situations.
