CHI St.
Alexius Health Garrison includes the services of a 22-bed critical access hospital, a 26-bed skilled nursing facility, an attached rural health clinic, and a newly remodeled Emergency Department that is available 24 hours a day.
We offer many outpatient services, including physical therapy, radiology services, laboratory services, cardiac rehabilitation, and IV treatments.
Since opening in 1952, CHI St.
Alexius Health Garrison has been dedicated to serving the residents of Garrison and the surrounding rural communities.
Garrison Memorial Hospital is equipped with 4 emergency rooms, on-site lab, radiology, CT and physical therapy services.
Our patients have access to 24/7 emergency care, swing-bed program, and acute care services.

Responsibilities
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
The registered nurse plans, oversees and evaluates patient care utilizing the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) while maintaining the standards of State Nurse Practice Act, and facility policy and procedure, and the Mission and Philosophy of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the development and implementation of the plan of care.
Report changes or status of nursing interventions to team RN.
Assign or delegate components of nursing care to other members of the Health Care Team.
Document nursing interventions and the patient’s responses to care.
Participate in patient teaching by implementing or modifying teaching plan.
Demonstrate ability and knowledge in performing unit skills labs.
Contribute to the nursing assessment of patient
Practice as team member in delivery of care
Collect, record and report assessment data
Identify signs and symptoms of deviations from normal health status in order for establishment of a nursing diagnosis.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure: Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.
Graduate Nurse (G.
N.
) must practice under the supervision of a registered nurse while the work authorization to practice is valid.
Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required.
Skills: CPR certification.
Manual dexterity and mobility.
Competent in uses of equipment used in resident care.
12 DEUs per year.
