Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team.
As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of medications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain proper inventory levels of medications and supplies
- Perform medication reconciliation and ensure accuracy of patient profiles
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of drug classifications to accurately interpret prescriptions
- Prepare sterile IV infusions and other sterile products using aseptic technique
- Administer medications via various routes, including oral, topical, inhalation, and intravenous
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their concerns and questions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
Experience:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required
- Previous experience in an acute care or critical care setting is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of drug classifications
- Knowledge of IV infusion preparation and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with medication administration routes and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
