MDS RN-HOMES

POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for knowledge of and ability to complete the MDS (Minimum Data Set) timely, and accurately from admission to discharge in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines with the Nursing Policies, Trinity Homes policies and according to the federal and state guidelines for MDS and RAP (Resident Assessment Protocol).
With input from the Directors of Nursing and CERS, MDS nurse will coordinate education for the clinical department.
All other duties as assigned by director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Licenses and Certifications Required Current North Dakota Registered Nurse license Educational Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a RN Experience Requirements Previous experience as staff nurse in Long Term Care Special Skills or Training Requirements Ability to research, evaluate and complete the MDS document in a timely fashion according to our state and federal guidelines.
Utilize efficient information gathering with caregivers input and documentation for cost-effective completion of the MDS and insert the required documents in resident charts.
