Tobacco Compliance Officer for Tobacco Inspections

*Job Description Summary:* CES is looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to assist Underage Purchasers in performing non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to Underage Purchasers is restricted.
The inspection is used to establish a retailer’s compliance with federal regulations.
This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis with flexibility relevant to the individual’s schedule.
*Duties/Responsibilities:* * Travel with an Underage Purchaser; identify and verify site address provided * Facilitate and observe undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers * Collect evidence of violations, such as photographs and tobacco products * Complete compliance check inspection forms, detailing any violations, when applicable *Hours/Scheduling:* * Part-time * Flexible hours * Create your own schedule *Required Qualifications/Skills:* * Must be a current law enforcement official and/or state or county worker * Reliable transportation * Attention to detail * Strict adherence to deadlines and privacy *Office Equipment:* * Smartphone * Personal computer/laptop with high speed internet access * Ability to complete & scan PDF documents.
*Other:* * All Compliance Inspectors will complete a training session * Must be able to undergo a security clearance background check and become credentialed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
