Western Cooperative Credit Union's Williston office has an opening for a Teller.
This is a full time position getting approximately 40 hours per week.
Hours will vary between Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm and a Saturday rotation from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Purpose: Perform limited transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high degree of accuracy.
Maintain accurate transactional records, providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions.
Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
Process withdrawals from accounts and/or check cashing, verifying amounts, and enter withdrawals into system accurately.
Cash checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification according to credit union policies and procedures.
Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and member balances.
Accurately enters members' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
Assist with mail, email or phone transactions, when available.
Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
Order daily supply of cash for teller drawer; and count, check, and package incoming cash and coins.
Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
Research and resolve discrepancies.
Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted by tellers.
Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, rules and regulations for the teller area, including robbery procedures.
Explains, promotes, or sells products or services including but not limited to prepaid cards, money orders, and cashier's checks.
Identifies member needs and refers appropriately.
Receive consumer loan and other payments, and ensure the payments match balances due.
Enter payments into the computer.
Generate member receipts.
Check night depository bags and record proper information according to credit union procedures.
Allows member access to Safe Deposit Boxes, following specified procedures.
Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, brochures, etc.
Report malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
